Bonding over steel-pressed piers

Steel-pressed piers are very similar to concrete press pilings or segmented pilings but are more suitable for areas like Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and Oklahoma. The soil in these areas expands or, as we say, it has a high “vertical rise.”So it’s necessary to drive the piers through this soil and anchor them on a solid layer of bedrock.

The installation is very similar to concrete press pilings. This involves breaking through the ground and installing pilings one by one allowing the structure’s weight to drive them into the ground. Once the pilings reach the proper depth, they’re capped between the driven piling and the grade beam.
